Where to Call.
This sheet names the categories of help the course refers to, and the peak services that hold the current contact details in each of five countries. Print it. Keep it somewhere visible. It is not a substitute for clinical judgment.
If you are reading this in a country not listed here, search for national domestic violence helpline plus your country's name, or family violence service plus your country's name. Most countries have a national service of some kind. If the search returns nothing, the NO MORE Global Directory lists domestic and sexual violence support services by country.
If you are in immediate physical danger, the right call is your country's emergency number. In Australia and New Zealand that is 000 and 111. In the United Kingdom that is 999. In the United States that is 911. In Canada, 911 is the emergency number in most places, but some remote areas use local emergency numbers.
